So much frustration

I move to a new house in a new city. I'm older and I live alone. I found a kitchen island that I loved on Joss and Main. I ordered the island and paid extra for assembly. How great! The first order came with a broken part, the guys were really nice and were going to assemble it for me. They left the good boxes in my living room and were going to reorder the damaged piece.
I received an email that it was going to be delivered tomorrow. I'm so happy and excited until I get a phone call from Joss and Main. Now they tell me they can not assemble it because it will take more than 30 minutes. What? Of course I called and was really upset to no avail. Never ever will I go through this again. Joss and Main, Wayfair and overstock.com, never again!

Cheap&Expensive

Cheap & Expensive is the easiest way to describe these products. If you're lucky they might send something undamaged but even, then the product is not as described. The easiest way to explain is they make very cheap products and sale them for crazy prices...

Furniture is GARBAGE

Furniture is garbage. I paid almost $2,500 for a bedroom set and the grey wash coating is already coming off two pieces in less than a year. They said they can repair one, but not the other. They offered me a discount of $50! Are you kidding me?

Product quality is horrible - arrived damaged

I don't know how they have so many "reviews" on their site... it's nearly impossible to actually post a review after you've made a purchase. I'm now wondering if those reviews on their site were fake, since I can't post anything. I should have listened when buyer hinted that quality was bad, items arrived damaged, and long wait times. I'm attempting to pay it forward by warning other buyers to look elsewhere. Product quality is bad and it's tough to reach a live person to sort it out. They said it could be 6-8 weeks before I can get a replacement. Next time, I'm having them unpack it in my driveway and prove it's not damaged before they put it in my house. Also, what am I supposed to do with the damaged piece? They said "throw it out". It's 150 pounds! How am I supposed to do that, exactly?

Save the time - terrible company

Terrible customer service. Ordered an outdoor sofa, table, and cushions. The sofa and table arrived (from Wayfair?), but the cushions did not. The confirmation email said the cushions were delivered, but they weren't on the truck. After spending 30 mins with customer service, the best they could do is to re-ship the cushions (appx 2 weeks) and offer me a 10% off coupon for my next order. If I would have known that I would have the frame of an outdoor sofa sitting on my porch for 2-3 weeks, I would have taken my business elsewhere. Don't waste your time.

Terrible photos, terrible bookcase

I ordered a bookcase on this site that was supposed to be medium brown colored -- instead it's a very light and ugly brown. And, although it says it's a three shelf bookcase, the three shelves only allow for small books or paperbacks -- if you have hardcover books, it's really only a two shelf bookcase. Oh, and the directions to put it together are almost impossible to understand. The worst purchase I've ever made online.

VEDA SOFA/JOSS & MAIN

I placed an order on Nov 18th, 2020 and was supposed to be delivered in mid February, then Mid March and now mid April, I called and they put me on hold while they inquired with their Texas warehouse on the where about of the sofa, but even that simple response could take up to 3 working days, this is beyond frustrating, I canceled the order, it's just not worth my energy, it was my first and last order with them.

Bedroom set

At the end of May I order the bedroom so true way here. It took about a month before I get my merchandise. When I receive my bedroom said it look like it was made from a secondhand store The quality is not good. The drawers were messed up, it almost looks like it was a return and then sent to me. I did however call Wayfair I did get a replacement for the nightstand, but I did not want the double dresser one it took too long and I just canceled it. But for the amount of money you guys charge for these products the material you use is terrible. I will never order from you guys again.

Bathroom vanity ordered

Doing a bathroom remodel and our contractor ordered what I wanted from this sight, because it said delivery would be by July 30th, 2020, it is now August 4th and we still have nothing and all we are told is that they will notify when it ships! Don't trust anything they promise! First time buyer and most likely last!

Damaged Merchandise/No Response/

I purchased the Milan bed and it arrived with scuff marks on the linen. After several attempts to contact customer service, I didn't receive a response or resolution. They also did not post my review of the bed. I would avoid Joss & Main and will never purchase from them again. All of their merchandise is sold on other sites - just pick a different site.

Where does J&M ship from?

A:

I believe they 'drop ship', meaning the product is shipped direct from the manufacturers they work with as soon as you make the purchase. Really helps in getting product quicker :)

I think their main location is in Boston. However, I believe there are multiple shipping locations depending on the manufacturing location of an item. Hope this is helpful.

They use several suppliers. The end or bottom of their web site shows who they are. You could order 4 items, and have each one come alone, if the Mfr. Is different. I find them easy to deal with, & with great Customer Service.

I can't find any reviews on the William 74.5" sofa. It's so cheap! How is it?!

I got a different brand, but the couch I did get, I love. I have had it for about 6 months and do not have any complaints.

You get what you pay for with Joss and Main. Google the details like the measurements and comments about the fabric because they often rename their items. I have been mostly happy with my items because I have reasonable expectations regarding quality. I don't expect to get something for nothing. Personally, I wouldn't buy a couch unless I could sit in it first but that's just me. Joss and Main is good with damage claims and they are responsive but you need to be careful about what you buy.

The So Called Graham Sofa is a Jennifer Convertible Sofa for 299.00 and yes the price is cheaper BUT the shipping will be more extensive, it is a nice Sofa..

Haven't ordered from Joss and Main but love looking at the wide variety of home furnishings. Wondering about the quality of the products. It is easy to make things look high quality in photos. Have been disappointed with online shopping for a number of items.

A:

Leslie, I am extremely satisfied with the bedding products purchased from Josh and Main. We purchased a summer cover that provides the right amount of comfort, is soft, yet durable. The cover is reversible which allows for various decor choices. Add to that that it was a good value. You can't go wrong. Hope this helps.

I've ordered a wide variety of products from them over the last 3 years. I'm very happy with their products... almost always, that is. If something is wrong... they make it right. If you return a product they'll pay for shipping if you accept a credit voucher. Or, you pay return cost of $15 and get your money back. Very fair. Also, if you purchase a product and you pay shipping... you get free shipping for 30 days free. Very nice. J&M is my favorite on-line store. Good prices, too.

In the information for all of the J&M bedspreads, coverlets and duvet covers that I've looked at state that the items should be washed prior to use. Can anyone tell me why? Thank you.

A:

Bob, there is always a manufacturing finish on cloth materials. And, unfortunately, most finishes will contain chemical residue that you may be allergic to; so wash all clothing and bed linens you purchase.

Hello fellow j&m customer, my thoughts about washing clothing, linens or just about anything I buy... is to clean away any kind of dyes or chemicals that can be used in manufacturing. You have a cleaner and softer garmet or linens. Your skin and nose will thank you.
